Project: JAIN Q&A
Purpose:
It is hard to ask questions to our parents or patshala teachers about certain topics related to Jainism. It is often even harder to find answers to our questions. JAIN Q&A will address these issues by creating an online forum in which people can ask scholars in our community questions and also browse questions by others.
Description:
Jain Q&A is an online interface that will allow anyone access to well known Jain Scholars in order to ask any questions related to Jainism. This website will also serve as an online knowledge repository because many of us share the same questions about our religion.
In order to make this Project a reality a web-interface and database must be created. A blog interface or an application similar to Yahoo Answers may be the best option. Next several Jain Scholars in our community must be identified and agree to participate in this project. Next, an initial set of questions should be chosen to start the website off and provide as a model to others. Finally, PR will be needed to promote the use of this website through out our community.
Timeline:
| Date: | Goal |
| July 1, 2007 | Have the beta web interface constructed. |
