Project: Temple mini-sites
Purpose:
To date there is no complete list online that gives information on Jain temples/centers/groups across the US. While some temples have their own website, many do not and people look to YJA/JAINA to provide this information. For this reason, YJA will create a web-database which allows regional and local coordinators to create and administer mini-websites for each temple.
Description:
A web application will be developed that easily allows creation and administration of dynamic websites for each Jain temple/center/group in the US. Features include:
1. Basic Temple info and adult/youth contacts
2. Address/directions
3. An events calendar
4. News updates
5. Photo gallery
6. Coordination with Jainster to show members of temples
7. Information of temples services(for example: patshala classes)
8. Options to allow users to subscribe to news/events
9. Admin controls for trusted members to create and edit content
