YJA and YJP are excited to announce our first major joint venture, a YJA & YJP West Regional Summer Retreat August 16-18 in Seattle! We're thrilled to invite you to what's sure to be a packed weekend of meaningful networking, professional development, and lasting memories. Jainism is what ties us together at the very core, so let's take a weekend to collectively reflect on how we can live those Jain ideals and values while navigating through personal and professional situations.
As this is a YJA & YJP event, you must be between 20-35 years old to attend this retreat. (A photo ID will be required for check-in). No exceptions will be made to this age limit.
Subsidized registration fees begin at $130 during Phase 1 and $140 during Phase 2. Your registration fee includes accommodations, meals, and access to all sessions and activities for the weekend. Any extra transportation fees are not included.
To provide each attendee with accommodations, meals, and the opportunity to attend sessions and participate in activities, the actual total cost per person is well over the registration cost. YJA & YJP work very hard in fundraising during the year to help subsidize each attendee's cost of attendance. We would greatly appreciate it if you could help YJA & YJP by choosing the Unsubsidized pricing option at the time of payment. This would help us raise the money we need to ensure YJA & YJP remain affordable for as many potential attendees as possible.

Financial assistance is limited and will be awarded on a first-come first-serve basis until our allocation of funds is exhausted.

Every attendee must fill out the liability form. The form is split into two sections, 1) YJA Liability Form and 2) YJP Release of Liability. Click here to fill out the form.
This is the West Regional Retreat. The retreat is an intimate environment where attendees will have an opportunity to learn about Jain values, meet old friends, and make new ones. YJA and YJP want to ensure that everyone has a great time.
There are a few basic but important ground rules that all attendees are expected to follow:
Please be respectful of other attendees in your speech and actions. Any inappropriate comments or language will not be tolerated.
There is a strict policy against alcohol, tobacco, nicotine products, marijuana, and drug consumption.
Those who are reported to have acted inappropriately or to have significantly impacted others’ retreat experiences in a negative way will be subject to consequences at the discretion of the Regional Coordinators and other members of YJA or YJP Boards present at the retreat.
All attendees will read and sign the appropriate liability form before the start of the retreat.

How long are we going to be in sessions?
Most sessions will be between 60 and 90 minutes long. There will be ample time in between sessions for snack and restroom breaks.
What if I have to leave during the retreat?
To ensure attendee safety, we ask everyone to remain on the premises for the duration of the retreat unless authorized to do so by the YJA or YJP Executive Boards. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com with any questions.
What does the registration cost cover?
The registration cost includes lodging, food (excluding Friday dinner), and educational materials. Each attendee is responsible for additional charges such as transportation.
Will I need to bring extra spending money?
We will not be serving Friday dinner, so please bring money for dinner either in Seattle or Everett. We'll likely meet up for dinner before heading to the retreat venue. We also recommend bringing money for gas.
Will there be any doctors on site?
There will not be any doctors on site, but safety is a priority and basic first aid supplies will be available. If anything goes wrong, medical attention is only a few minutes away.
If we receive your cancellation while the registration period for the retreat is still open (until 8/4), you will receive a 50% refund of the registration fee.
After August 4th, refunds will only be granted on a case-by-case basis under extremely extenuating circumstances. If you wish to cancel your registration or have questions about the retreat, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
