Event Description

Young Jains of America (YJA) presents the 2026 Chicago Summer Day on August 8th from 9:30 AM to 3:00 PM CT— Join us for an unforgettable City Day with the MidBEST full of seva, nature, and summer fun!

We’ll kick things off by exploring nature at the beautiful Lincoln Park Conservatory. We’ll then head over to Navy Pier for a beach day, playing lots of games, but also engaging in seva by doing a beach cleanup. This is a City Day you don’t want to miss.

You must be between the ages of 14-29 on Summer Day in order to register and attend this event. A valid photo ID will be required for registration and check-in.

🎟 Exclusive Merch included in the cost — just bring your energy and your YJA spirit! You will be responsible for meals, Metra ticket if you’re traveling from the suburbs, and a CTA Day-Pass ($5). Once you register, you'll be added to a group chat with more details on the event.

For the health and safety of all the attendees, please monitor your health prior to attending this in-person event. If you are feeling unwell or have any symptoms, we strongly encourage you to take an at-home COVID-19 test or to stay home. Please contact events@yja.org if you have any questions or concerns. Thank you for prioritizing the safety of our community!

Financial assistance will be awarded based on your application on a first-come, first-serve basis until our allocation of funds is exhausted. If you have any questions, please email events@yja.org.
