Convention Committee

The #YJA2022 Convention is just nine months away, and we are excited to kick off preparations for the best Convention yet! Each Convention is organized by a team of 35-41 individuals - 16 Executive Board members and 19-25 additional members - who each serve on different committees. Being on Convention Committee is a one-of-a-kind experience that will give you the opportunity to significantly impact the Jain community, plan a large-scale event, work with other highly motivated individuals, solve complex problems, and make memories to last a lifetime. The application for this year’s Convention Committee is officially open! Applications will close on Friday, October 29th at 11:59 PM PT.

There are several ways to get more involved with YJA each year: Local Representatives, Project Teams, and Committees! Each of these opportunities has unique roles and teams that are always looking for motivated contributors.

Committees and Project Teams play a necessary role in assisting Directors with their respective functions in the YJA Executive Board. There are many teams that you can apply to in this application, including: Education, Fundraising, Publications, Public Relations, Aneka Podcast, College Chapters, Jains In Action (JIA), Mobile Application, and YJA Reflect! These teams lead creative projects that take YJA to new heights each year. You can learn more by visiting

Local Representatives are the faces of YJA in their respective communities. They help plan and host events, assisting with outreach to new members in your region, acting as liaisons to the local Jain Center/Sangh, and more! Learn more at
